THE HISTORY AND MEANING OF THE LESBIAN FLAG

The lesbian symbol’s origin is relatively young, emerging in response to the dominance of the rainbow emblem within the broader LGBTQ+ community . Initially, designers felt that the rainbow banner didn't adequately address lesbian experiences and identities. In 1999, Denise Lyon developed a flag
